These passages of scripture extol the Pre-Existent Son of God who became the same human flesh that He created from before time, He took on the life of a servant instead of His glorious rightful place as King, and having emptied Himself of all His divine prerogative, Jesus allowed Himself to suffer human death for our sin, but not just any death, rather the most heinous, notoriously painful, and shameful death of the Roman crucifixion.
